ABOUT ME
Tattoo artist, Lauren Visconti, was never much of a stranger when it came to the world of tattoos. Coming from a family of bikers, starting with her cigar smoking, harley riding grandmother, known affectionately as “Purple Kathi” for her purple tinted glasses and lipstick, being tattooed always seemed completely normal. As a kid, having tattoos was something that she thought organically happened one day, in the same way someone grows taller, or loses their baby teeth. She soon realized that wasn’t the case, so set into motion her obsession with tattoos. The Boston native eventually moved to Florida at 16 where she landed her first job in a tattoo shop and later relocated a second time in 2008 to attend Oglethorpe Univeristy in Atlanta, receiving her BFA with a minor in general fuckery. By 2016 she had finally begun her tattoo career after a long winded and treacherous journey of ups, downs and everything in between… the rest, as they say, is history.
